01 October 2021, Friday - The video below of a doe strolling through our garden a couple morning’s ago isn’t unusual, from a visual perspective. She looks quite normal in every respect. However, the sound that the doe is making is rather intriguing. The same type of vocalization was heard in the audio of the post on 27 Nov 2020. At that time, we thought that the noise was a nearby (off camera) shrub’s limb being pulled by one of the deer. However, no damage was found on the shrub the next day. After watching some YouTube videos of vocalizing deer, it is apparent that deer can make many different sounds. If you happen to know what this vocalization means in “deer-speak”, we would be delighted to hear from you via email at our any of our emails listed at the bottom of this page. Have a wonderful day!

30 November 2021, Tuesday - We don’t really know what it was or what to call it. Perhaps fascinating atmospheric solar phenomenon would fit. Below are two pictures, one a wide angle and the other a closeup of the phenomenon taken at 1:11 p.m. today while out on an afternoon walk in Minnesota. The camera is facing south and the phenomenon lasted 10 minutes at the very most. In the wide angle picture, note that the sun is between the tall pines with a sun dog to the left of the tallest tree and a smaller sun dog just to the top right of the tallest tree. The sky contains mares’ tail clouds (cirrus uncinus) plus a drier air mass (i.e. no clouds) slowing moving its way from the right side of the sky (from the west) to the left (east). The atmospheric solar phenomenon is above the sun dogs and looks like two bows placed curve to curve. If you happen to know what this phenomenon was, we would be more than delighted to hear from you via email at our any of our emails listed at the bottom of this page. Have a miraculous day!

31 December 2021 - Two years ago this very night, there were probably very few who foresaw what was coming and comprehended where the world would be two years later. However, we can pretty much guarantee that there is at least one furry beast alive who didn’t know then, doesn’t seem to know now, and, frankly, probably doesn’t care what has transpired in those two years. He takes life one joyous and glorious moment at a time. His picture is below and we know him as Mr. Kitty. Hope that you have a wonderful and hopeful New Year!
